Whichever part of the spectrum you fall, for your arguments about your reality to be sharp, you become the seeker of objective truth however deep it cuts through. You will get a better understanding of the world when people from different part of the spectrum produces their cases sharp that's backed with reason. Arguments without reason are just noises and half-assed exaggerations which have their place but need to be ignored when you are seeking the ultimate solution.
For one's intuition to work for him/her the facts and learnings about reality should be objective.
When graphs are produced by optimists about our ignorance towards the fact that the world has improved on several fronts like literacy rate, poverty, lifetime expectancy, etc., the question I am left with is...at what cost? A person who's both worried about human welfare and environmental hazards at the same time doesn't make much sense... because the current dynamics we have created simply translates to - For one to thrive the other should decline/diminish.
Ok..so this equilibrium that we are striving for with accessibility to knowledge for everyone in the world (one great example is the penetration of internet availability even in a remote village in India) should create a new breed of enlightened beings that will collectively work to bring the balance between human vs environment scenario?
Should we look at individual betterment or the betterment of the species in question?
