Do We Have The Right to Say What's Right or Wrong?

I was lead to this question while brewing my thoughts around "the primordial soup" experiments conducted in the 1950s. Curiosity to understand the origin of life on our planet was the objective. To give you a brief account of this experiment, simple substances like methane, hydrogen, and ammonia were picked (those that were believed to be available in abundance 3.8 billion years ago on young-earth) and passed them through tubes and zapped or electrocuted them (to simulate primeval lightning). Weeks later there was this brown soup they collected as a result of the setup, and in it, they found molecules that were not in any way part of this experiment! Just like that, like magic, molecules appeared. Most notably, amino acids, building blocks of protein was present!

However, there's no solid evidence to claim this is how complex systems like us came into being. But these ideas and experiments sure do add stability to our understanding of the origin. In our attempts to decipher the origin of life with feats we achieved through consciousness, science is the best we have..or should I say science shows the way to our next leap in evolution.

Atoms combine to make up molecules, molecules combine to build an even more complex and stable structure. Here we are in the 21st century witnessing this magical world as a result of millions and billions of years of atom mixing and bonding, stabilizing complex systems that are truly magnificent and functional.

What fascinates me is why do they keep combining and building? Why do they not stop? When there's stability with one molecular match it again finds a new match and expands. Finds extension that is true to itself at the core, to a point where it could create animals, and some of them stumble upon consciousness to stop, reflect, look back and explain what an atom is!

This extension and expansion of atoms seem like a non-stop process. We humans, the conscious beings have hijacked time (shrinking it) and as a result, what could happen over billion years are being created in centuries or decades! We are shrinking time using comprehension! Evolution has compounded itself manufacturing us. The cycle continues...we are constantly on the lookout for extensions, seeking experience and expressions depending on the level of quality of our consciousness. For some it is material possession for some it is beyond all that. Our next true leap could be an expansion of ourselves through Artificial Intelligence (which is already in motion)! When this conscious being and the powerhouse processing machine combines, we once again shrink time and achieve things of which we have little to no comprehension.

But do we get there? Stable structures stay and evolve. We humans with our elevated consciousness corrupting the roots of stability. Will this journey elevate us to become superhuman or leads us to our own downfall? More entropy trying to reach the state of equilibrium.

Is it wrong to chop down trees? Is it wrong to manipulate and exploit anything and everything we can lay hands on? The seriousness of this differs from where you observe this from. If we can't see or think past few hundred years from our lifetime, this can be observed as a serious problem, because we only have less than 100 years to live but this planet and universe have billions of years at their disposal. They can comfortably start everything all over again from the scratch without complaints!

Pure science can help us expand our knowledge and further our advancements. But we are dealing with humans here! Our selfishness traits that propelled our and fellow species' survival is hard-coded in our genes and that is how we got to expand, witness, and experience all that we have and created.

I keep thinking does it make sense to blame ourselves for our natural selves?
